Celebrities help Puerto Rico

One week after Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, 97% of the island’s 3.4 million Americans still don’t have power.

According to CNN, half of the residents do not have running water and accessible food is quickly becoming scarce. Maria killed at least 16 people and according to many FEMA is not doing enough.

Many celebrities are trying to take a stand.  Donating, helping and encouraging others to do the same.  So what have celebrities done thus far?

The Late Show host and actor Nick Kroll asked celebrities to share awkward photos of themselves from puberty on social media. For every star who does so, the show will donate money to relief efforts through Colbert’s charity, the Americone Dream Fund, and Kroll will match it.

The Broadway star also shared a link to Hispanic Federation, urging all to contribute.
