After appearing randomly, the monolith mysteriously disappeared.

So where are these monoliths coming from?
The one in Pittsburgh was put up by a small business in the area, but most of them are being put up by a group called “The Most Famous Artist,” an artist community.
With all that being said, the Utah monolith still does not have a culprit. The reason? Probably because it was illegal to put anything there.
If you are interested in having your very own monolith, the group is selling them for a whopping $45,000 each!! Yikes.
But why do this? For art? Because we’re bored? Not sure.
