In February 2021, a Louisiana woman mistakenly used Gorilla Glue spray adhesive in place of actual hair spray. She got nicknamed “Gorilla Glue Girl.”

In April 2021, a Michigan woman decided to one up the Gorilla Glue girl by putting superglue in her eyeball. This woman, “Superglue Girl,” thought that she was reaching for eye drops when grabbed a small bottle of nail glue.

“Superglue Girl,” Yacedrah Williams, said she went to sleep with her contact lenses in, but woke up at 1 a.m. and wanted to take them out because her eyes were dry. 

“Superglue Girl,” who was with her husband at the same time, was rushed to an area hospital where doctors opened her eye and removed her contact lens, according to reports. Her contact lenses likely saved her vision.
