Back in 2012, Disney bought LucasFilms for 4.05 Billion dollars. Since then, they have wasted no time in producing 5 movies, 4+ television series, and a section of an amusement park.
Now they have revealed pricing for its new, highly anticipated Star Wars hotel Galactic Starcruiser set to open Spring 2022. But the cost to immerse yourself in a galaxy far, far away for a few days is GALACTIC. To partake in the the “most immersive Star Wars story ever created,” you may have to spend $6,000 for two nights.
You could build your own functional light saber for that amount. It’s true. Ask the Mandalorian.
For a two-night stay, it costs $4,809 for two guests in a cabin, $5,299 for three guests (two adults and one child) and $5,999 for four guests (three adults, one child).
The hotel is billed by Disney as a “revolutionary new two-night experience where you and your group will embark on a first-of-its-kind Star Wars adventure that’s your own.” I‘m sure rates vary, per date and blah blah blah, but $6000!?!?! Think I’ll stick to watching the mediocre movies.
