Raise your hand if you stayed up to watch the “virtual” version of the MTV Video Music Awards… *raises hand*

Actually, I was super grateful that the show ended before 11pm – when usually award shows go beyond that. Instead of having the show inside a theater with a live audience full of celebs, everything was done “virtually” or at a social distance.

The show took place all over New York City… literally. MTV had stages set up “on a rooftop,” drive-in style, and a set surrounded by trippy video screens.

So who won big last night? Lady Gaga came out on top with FIVE awards including the first ever Tricon Award, which celebrates not only her music and acting accomplishments, but also her philanthropy.
