Out of all the TV shows I watched as a kid, Star Trek Next Generation (STNG) and Reading Rainbow were two of the most impactful. Reading Rainbow was more memorable than Mr. Roger’s neighborhood. Watching STNG with my dad, nerding out talking about the show’s philosophy was more fun than other science fiction TV show.  Don’t even get me started on how I watched the series Roots on repeat in the basement. Actor LeVar Burton was a leading role in each of these shows and as a result he is a part of my childhood in a really meaningful way.

Now it looks like the world is vying for LeVar Burton to become the new host of Jeopardy. There is a change.org petition.

This petition is to show Sony Pictures Entertainment Inc. and producers Mike Richards and Harry Friedman just how much love the public has for Burton, and how much we’d all love to see him as the next host of Jeopardy!

Let’s go head and sign that thing and get Mr. Burton on Jeopardy and extend his legacy even further.
