Since 2011, the Billboard Music Awards have recognized “icons” in the music industry by presenting the Icon Award during each years’ ceremonies. Musicians like Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder, Prince, Cher, Janet Jackson, Garth Brooks and more have all been awarded this honor in addition to performing some of their greatest hits.
