Theater friends and supporters alike will be waving through a window in excitement over this upcoming movie musical!
Dear Evan Hansen premiered on Broadway in 2016 at the Music Box Theatre in New York starring Pitch Perfect actor, Ben Platt. And now he’s back to star in the movie version of the musical.
According to Playbill.com:
“All his life, Evan Hansen has felt invisible. But when a tragic event shocks the community and thrusts him into the center of a rapidly evolving controversy, Evan is given the opportunity of a lifetime: the chance to be somebody else.”
And now, the official movie based off the famed Broadway show is on the way. Here is the official trailer:
Fun fact, Ben Platt’s father, Marc E. Platt will serve as an Executive Producer for the film.
In addition to Platt, Amy Adams, Danny Pino, Julianne Moore, Kaitlyn Dever, and Amandla Stenberg also star.
