Mariah Carey is Being Sued

And this time it isn’t even about songs sounding the same this time!

We’ve seen our fair share of lawsuits in the music business with artists claiming others have stolen their melody or sound regarding a song.

This time? It all has to do with a title.

Mariah Carey is being sued by Andy Stone of Vince Vance & The Valiants. He’s saying Mariah stole the name of his 1993 song, All I Want For Christmas Is You. Carey’s song was then released in 1994. He is claiming her song stole the thunder of his, which was apparently doing well on the Christmas charts until hers was released the year after.
