The D23 Expo did. Not. Disappoint.
The Disney-centric event showcased over a three day period everything different Disney properties are getting up to over the next few years. Everyone from the games division to Disney parks to Lucasfilm got to show off the exciting projects us viewers can prepare to see in the near future.
Wow was there a lot, so buckle up! Here are just some of the amazing announcements and trailers we got from the House of Mouse.

The Little Mermaid – May 2023 – Only in Theaters – First Trailer
Peter Pan & Wendy – Newly announced live-action film adaptation set to come out on Disney+ in 2023
MUFASA: The Lion King – A 2024 prequel movie showing off the story of Mufasa, Timon, Pumbaa, and Rafiki on Mufasa’s rise to being the king of the Pride Lands.
Snow White – Live-action remake starring Rachel Zegler as Snow White and Gal Gadot as The Queen – Set to come out in 2024
Disenchanted – November 24th – Disney+ – New Trailer!
Hocus Pocus 2 – September 30th – Disney+ – New Trailer!
PIXAR
Inside Out 2 – Summer 2024 – Only in Theaters – THE RETURN OF THE EMOTIONS!!! Amy Poehler returns as Joy as we are set to meet multiple new emotions in the now teenage Riley’s head.
Elemental – June 16th 2023 – Original Feature Film starring Mamoudou Athie and Leah Lewis
Win or Lose – Fall 2023 – Streaming Series – Disney+ – Will Forte stars in the series following the middle-school softball team the Pickles.
Elio – Spring 2024 – Original Feature Film starring Yones Kibreab and America Ferrera following the story of an 11-year old boy named Elio who can’t seem to fit in anywhere with his artistic and creative talent
MARVEL
Captain America: New World Order – 2024 – Only in Theaters – The return to the Captain America saga has been confirmed with multiple actors set to return from Marvel projects. Danny Ramirez as Joaquin Torres/New Falcon and Carl Lumbly as Isaian Bradley from The Falcon and The Winter Soldier Disney+ show, and most surprisingly Tim Blake Nelson as The Leader(2008’s The Incredible Hulk)
Thunderbolts – July 26th, 2024 – Only in Theaters – The biggest portion of the Marvel panel showcased the rag-tag team-up movie Thunderbolts and what MCU members we will see returning. Florence Pugh is set to return as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as James “Bucky” Buchanan Barnes/The Winter Soldier, David Harbour as the Red Guardian, Julia-Louis Dreyfus as Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, Wyatt Russell as John Walker/U.S. Agent, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.
Ironheart – 2023 – Disney+ – Announcement of new series cast member Anthony Ramos as Parker Robbins, aka The Hood
Werewolf by Night – October 7th – Disney+ – The film special directed by Michael Giacchino is as a Halloween classic style film, with Gael Garcia Bernal and Laura Donnelly set to star.
Secret Invasion – 2023 – Disney + – We got our first look at the espionage thriller series following Samuel L Jackson’s Nick Fury tracking down Skrull invaders on Earth.
Loki Season 2 – 2023 – Disney + – New cast member Ke Huy Quan joined Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, and Sophia Di Martino on stage to chat about the next installment of the multiversal series.
Fantastic Four – November 8th, 2024 – Only in Theaters – No trailer or casting news, but the director has been confirmed as WandaVision director Matt Shakman

Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi – October 26th, 2022 – Disney+ – The six-episode short series will feature the lives of Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku – two of the most well-known force users in the Star Wars galaxy and the journeys they take and how they shape their paths in life.
Ahsoka – 2023 – Disney+ – The series follows Rosario Dawson’s live-action former Jedi-Knight Ahsoka Tano on her investigation into a new threat in the galaxy far far away alongside Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren.
The Mandalorian: Season 3 – 2023 – Disney+ – The masses have finally been shown the trailer for Season 3 of the first Disney+ streaming series, The Mandalorian. Pedro Pascal, Amy Sedaris, Katee Sackhoff, Giancarlo Esposito, and Emily Swallow all were on hand to showcase the seasons trailer to the crowd in Hall D23.

Avatar: The Way of Water(20th Century Studios) – Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang all return from the original film alongside newcomers Jamie Flatters, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass, and Trinity Jo-Li Bliss in the sequel to one of the highest grossing films of all-time.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians – We got our first look at the young cast of Walker Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries, and Aryan Simhadri in the highly-anticipated series in this short promotional trailer
Indiana Jones 5 – June 30th 2023 – Only in Theaters – Film stars Harrison Ford and Phoebe Waller-Bridge joined the stage to chat about what fans can expect from Ford’s final installment as the great Dr. Indiana Jones
