Hey bub, we got some “Hugh”ge news to tell you…
Hugh Jackman is putting back on the adamantium claws and growing out his beard as he prepares to once again don the Wolverine name in live action films once again but in a slightly less Fox-y side of things.
The announcement did not come from Marvel or any comic panel, but rather from the mouth of Ryan Reynolds himself.

Logan is now slated to return in Deadpool 3, starring alongside Ryan Reynolds character Wade “Deadpool” Wilson.
It has been a running gag in the first two Deadpool films that Wade Wilson has an affinity for X-Men and Wolverine related jokes, but now we finally get to see the two real life friends in Reynolds and Jackman share the big screen together. And this time they are both in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, NOT the Fox Universe.
The last appearance for Jackman’s character was in the 2018 “Logan” film, where Wolverine dies at the end of the film. Reynolds and Jackman made a follow-up video where the mention that they are not going to be going back to get this version of Jackman in the Multiverse. Their explanation as to what version of Hugh this will be is cut off by Wham! and their song “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” as it plays over the pair pantomiming actions and events leading to Deadpool 3.

Deadpool 3 starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is slated to release in theaters on September 6th, 2024.
